Spirulina is a whole food, not a vitamin or a drug, and it’s safe to consume in large amounts and at irregular intervals. However some people who are not used to a lot of greens in their diet may want to start off slowly then increase the amount per serving per day. Minimum daily serve is 3gr. i.e. one heaped teaspoon or 6 x 500mg. tablets. Take more as more energy is needed - e.g. if lacking sleep or food - or before exercising. Note that absorption and health benefits of tablets and powder are the same. One to two tablets are recommended, with or after meals to start, and then gradually increase your intake.

Spirulina is 60% complete, easily digested protein, containing all the essential and many other amino acids. It contains more beta carotene than any other whole food. Spirulina and mother’s milk are the only whole food source of GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid). Spirulina is rich in B vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other potentially important nutrients.

Powder is best taken at or after breakfast, as a smoothie or shaken into fruit juices (in any closeable container) or stirred into yoghurt . Light sleepers may find that the energising effect inhibits sleep, so avoid taking late! For taste reasons it is not recommended to take the powder with water

Spirulina supplies nutrients that are lacking in most of our diets. It provides athletes with long-lasting energy and reduces recovery time; it nourishes people who have digestion, assimilation, and elimination problems; it satisfies the appetite as it provides essential nutrients to weight watchers; it enables children and others who don’t like vegetables to eat their greens by taking a few tablets; and it helps busy people who don’t have time for regular, balanced meals to nourish themselves. It is a good energy booster!.

Hawaiian Spirulina Pacifica
Spirulina is a microscopic blue-green vegetable algae that has been used as a significant food source for centuries. It thrives in hot sunny climates and in alkaline waters around the world and produces twenty times as much protein as soybeans when grown on an equal size of land.
A nutrient-rich dietary supplement, MicrOrganics unique strain is a vegetable-based, highly absorbable source of phytonutrients, B vitamins, gamma linolenic acid (GLA), protein and essential amino acids. It also has a highly absorbable supply of Iron.
Spirulina is a naturally digestible food, which aids in mineral absorption, cholesterol reduction and protects the immune system. It is especially beneficial to people who are fasting due to its ability to help cleanse and heal while also curbing the appetite. Its high protein content makes it a very popular food product for a person with hypoglycaemia, helping to normalise blood sugar levels between meals.
Hawaiian Spirulina is the only cultured microalgae grown with ultra pure deep ocean water as a source of minerals and trace elements. The deep ocean water is pumped up from a depth of 2000 feet, supplying magnesium, calcium, and every trace element.
Hawaiian Spirulina thrives in shallow ponds adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. Gentle stirring by paddle wheels assures perfect exposure to the intense Hawaiian sun. The growing medium employs a mixture of fresh water and mineral-rich deep ocean water in a base of food-grade baking soda. This managed growing system assures a contamination-free, consistently superior nutritional profile.
Our source meticulously wash Hawaiian Spirulina over stainless steel screens. Using a pollution-free, 100% recycled process, theye return all the pond water to the growing ponds for the next growing cycle.
Prior to drying, they rinse Hawaiian Spirulina three times. Numerous fresh water rinses give Hawaiian Spirulina a mild, salt-free taste.
The dried powder is immediately protected from oxidation. Using a process they pioneered, oxygen absorbers are enclosed in heat-sealed, metal-lined drums. This method of packaging assures that our customers receive Spirulina that is essentially as fresh as the day it was harvested.
Tabletting Spirulina provides challenges because of the fine, dusty particle size. Commercial tabletters often solve this problem using a heat process called granulation which can degrade nutrients. They built an advanced tabletting facility specifically for Spirulina, enabling them to make tablets with a cold compression technique.
